During the International Conference “Interdisciplinarity in Global Contexts”, ENtRANCE colleagues from Wageningen University have presented insights on how to best cultivate learning in a transdisciplinary-oriented higher education context, connecting academia and society.

 

Valentina Tassone, Cassandra Tho, and colleagues have introduced educational components that supports students’ transdisciplinary learning, when engaging with academic staff and with organizations in society for tackling collaboratively societal challenges. They have also shared insights about learning mechanisms that can accelerate higher education students’ transdisciplinary learning. After the presentation, an in-depth round table conversation and the sharing of experiences on the topic has taken places with participants from various institutions and countries. The conference was held in Amsterdam, 24-26 October 2019.
